Racing Circuits in Europe

Explore the major racing circuits of Europe, where motorsport as we know it began: from Formula 1 and MotoGP venues to classic road courses, endurance-racing legends like Le Mans and the Nürburgring, and the historic tracks of Britain, Italy, Germany and beyond.

Discover Europe's Racing Circuits

Europe is where motor racing began, and it is still home to many of the circuits that define the sport. The first Grand Prix ran in France in 1906, the 24 Hours of Le Mans dates to 1923, and the Formula 1 World Championship started at Silverstone in 1950. Today the continent hosts most of the MotoGP and WorldSBK calendars, nine Formula 1 races, the heart of the World Endurance Championship, and national series such as the DTM and BTCC, alongside a deep culture of historic racing, track days and club motorsport.

This directory introduces 40 active circuits across 13 countries, chosen for their current racing calendars and for how often people search for them, from world-championship venues to smaller national tracks with loyal followings. Each entry gives you the essentials at a glance: where the circuit is, what kind of track it is, how long a lap is and which major series race there. Detailed AutoGathering pages for each circuit, covering history, layouts, events and visitor information, will be linked from here as they are published.

The circuits are not ranked. They are grouped by region and can be filtered by country, type and series, so the aim is discovery rather than a league table.

United Kingdom & Isle of Man

Britain's motorsport scene grew up on former wartime airfields and country estates, and it now supports Formula 1, MotoGP, WorldSBK, the BTCC and one of the busiest club-racing calendars in the world. Across the Irish Sea, the Isle of Man TT still races on closed public roads.
